Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy Successfully Hosts National Endurance Championship
Endurance Riding at Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy
Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy has continued to expand its contribution to Indian equestrian sport by successfully hosting the National Equestrian Championship – Endurance.
The championship featured an 81.9 km endurance course, bringing together riders and horses for a demanding test of preparation, stamina, horsemanship and partnership.
The event represents an important part of SESA's vision of bringing different equestrian disciplines together under one roof.
What Makes Endurance Different?
Endurance riding is one of the most demanding equestrian disciplines.
Unlike competitions that are decided over a short arena performance, endurance requires horse and rider to manage a long-distance course while maintaining the horse's health, fitness and wellbeing.
Preparation therefore extends far beyond riding.
Training, conditioning, nutrition, recovery and careful horse management all play an important role in preparing a horse for an endurance competition.
An Academy Designed for Multiple Disciplines
SESA has developed facilities to support a wide range of equestrian activities, including:
Show Jumping
Dressage
Eventing
Tent Pegging
Endurance
The academy's spacious setting allows riders to experience different forms of equestrian sport while developing their overall riding skills.
Bringing Competition to Jaipur
Hosting national-level equestrian events also provides an opportunity for riders, professionals and enthusiasts to experience a dedicated equestrian sporting environment in Jaipur.
For SESA, these events form part of a larger vision — to encourage equestrian sport, provide quality training opportunities and create a platform where riders can pursue national and international ambitions.
The successful completion of the 81.9 km National Endurance Championship is another milestone in that journey.
